Aimed at bolstering the employability of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates, Bossjob, the leading chat-first career platform in Southeast Asia (SEA), has entered into a strategic partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-National Capital Region (TESDA-NCR).

This collaboration, in line with TESDA-NCR’s CollaboraTVET program, aims to offer specialized training programs designed specifically for TESDA graduates, alongside exclusive job opportunities and career development resources.

The CollaboraTVET initiative, part of TESDA-NCR’s broader agenda to enhance TVET excellence, seeks to forge partnerships with government agencies, academic institutions, business groups, and industries to uplift TVET standards across the region.

The formalization of this partnership occurred during a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held last 20 March 2024 at the TESDA Complex in Taguig City. This signifies a significant stride towards aligning professional hiring practices with the evolving demands of the workforce, harnessing Bossjob’s innovative technology alongside TESDA’s robust training programs to bridge the skills gap prevalent in the country.

The partnership underscores TESDA’s commitment to equipping individuals with the necessary skills and providing avenues for employment. It focuses on competency standards development, training, assessment, and the establishment of industry boards, all geared toward creating viable job opportunities for TESDA-NCR graduates across various sectors.

TESDA, known for providing inclusive and free TVET programs to Filipinos, currently offers a wide array of training regulations, competency standards, and diploma programs. In 2023 alone, TESDA reported over 1.2 million graduates from tech-voc courses, with more than 800,000 receiving certification as skilled workers nationwide.

Bossjob, since its inception in the Philippine market in 2018, has been pioneering AI-driven technologies to redefine professional hiring practices. With features such as AI-enabled talent matching and direct chat functionalities, the platform significantly enhances hiring efficiency for both job seekers and employers. Last year, data from Bossjob indicated that over 80% of job seekers initiated chats with employers upon joining the platform, with an impressive 70% response rate from employers, leading to a successful matching rate of approximately 50%. The company’s recent introduction of features facilitating connections to global and remote job opportunities aligns with its commitment to providing diverse career avenues for SEA talents worldwide.

With a growing presence across Asia, including the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, Bossjob aims to reach over 30 million users in SEA by 2026. As part of its global expansion strategy, the platform has begun offering free services this year, further democratizing access to professional opportunities for job seekers across the region.
