TCL, one of the world’s leading TV brands and a global partner of FIBA, is gearing up to bring the biggest basketball tournament and the sport’s top players to the Philippines. The company recently completed an extensive three-day planning workshop, organized by FIBA Marketing, to prepare for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. The workshop was specifically designed to cover all aspects of the competition’s planning and management for its partners.
“It was a genuine and productive session where we got the opportunity to connect with all
partners and bring all of our preparations for the upcoming World Cup 2023 together. I want to applaud the facilitators for the significant ideas that were offered with us,” according to Loyal Cheng, CEO of TCL Philippines.
TCL has always been a pioneer in combining technology and sports to inspire greatness and spark passions. Following a successful partnership at the 2018 FIBA Basketball World Cup, TCL and FIBA recently announced a new global collaboration. As part of this partnership, TCL will have exclusive rights for premium brand visibility on the court and will be the presenter of the “TCL Player of the Game” award. The company also secured exclusive Presenting Sponsorship rights for the Asian Qualifiers of both the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 and the Asia Cup 2021. The Group Phase of the World Cup will be held in three host countries — the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia — starting on 25 August 2023. The tournament will culminate on 10 September 2023 in Manila, Philippines, where the 2023 champions will be crowned.
