Sodexo, a global leader in food services and facilities management, introduces Oma-Kaki, a distinctive culinary fusion aimed at revolutionizing the workplace dining experience.
Derived from the Singlish term for “friend” (“kaki”) and the Japanese phrase for “chef’s choice” (“omakase”), Oma-Kaki is a collaborative effort with three renowned chefs. Chef Maxine Ngooi, culinary innovator Chef Jordi Noguera, and legendary Chef Damian D’Silva will co-create exclusive menus set to launch throughout 2024, challenging the conventional landscape of institutional catering.
“I am thrilled that we have teamed up with not one, but three very talented Chefs, each of whom will bring their distinctive style to their menu for the workplace. Oma-Kaki will not only elevate the workplace dining experience but also create a platform for employees to connect, celebrate, and build stronger relationships with each other,” according to Abel Ariza, Managing Director of Sodexo MYSG.
Sodexo’s goal is to deliver unique culinary experiences to its customers’ workplaces, elevating the overall dining atmosphere. Each chef will curate a limited-time menu, offering Sodexo’s customers and their employees a chance to savor these distinct creations.
Chef Maxine Ngooi will kick off the Oma-Kaki experience with her menu launching on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2024. Her sweet and savory creations will showcase her culinary expertise and diverse global flavors, embodying the spirit of empowerment.
Following in April 2024, Chef Jordi Noguera, known for his plant-based cuisine with Spanish influences, will present a menu celebrating Earth Day on April 22, 2024. His dedication to using fresh ingredients to honor his Spanish and Catalan roots will be evident in the offerings.
Closing the culinary journey for the year, Chef Damian D’Silva will unveil his menu around the Christmas season in December 2024. Promising a blend of traditional Christmas flavors with a unique twist inspired by his Peranakan heritage, Chef Damian’s menu aims to provide a culturally enriching experience for employees during the festive season.
