Seafood City, the leading Filipino grocerant in North America, has partnered with prominent Filipino brands to launch SFC+, a one-stop digital marketplace app catering to the needs of global Filipinos. A grocerant combines elements of a traditional grocery store with those of a restaurant or quick-service food establishment, offering a unique blend of shopping and dining experiences.

SFC+ aims to simplify the lives of Filipinos abroad by offering a comprehensive platform for shopping, bill payments, remittances, and even investments. The app bridges the gap between Filipinos in North America and their homeland by providing exclusive access to U.S. and top Philippine brands, discounts, rewards, and other benefits.

Users can connect with major brands like ABS-CBN, SM Group, Philippine Airlines, SMDC, BDO Unibank, Smart, Globe, East West Bank USA, and BayaniPay, streamlining global transactions and providing access to the best of the Philippines.

Key features include zero-fee remittance, bill payments, embedded banking services, online shopping at Seafood City locations, discounted iWant TFC subscription, the ability to convert SFC+ points to Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles (and vice versa), and end-to-end purchase of SMDC condominiums. The app also enables direct donations to the ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. and Gawad Kalinga USA, and provides a library of Filipino recipes and cooking videos. Future plans include incorporating frictionless investments in multiple verticals, such as real estate and healthcare.

“From purchasing items and services to paying bills and even investing in the future of families and relatives they support, SFC+ will make these experiences rewarding for every global Filipino through our membership program. “From purchasing items and services to paying bills and even investing in the future of families and relatives they support, SFC+ will make these experiences rewarding for every global Filipino through our membership program,” according to SFC+ Inc. President and CEO Elewin Rebaya.

SFC+ members enjoy exclusive access, curated deals, discount savings, and Suki points, which can be used for purchases at any Seafood City store, including online. The app will continue to add more brands and expand its service offerings.

Seafood City’s initiative represents a significant step in connecting Filipinos globally and enhancing their digital experiences. The app reflects the company’s commitment to serving its community and making it easier for Filipinos to access the products and services they need, regardless of their location.
