The Consulate General of the Republic of San Marino in the Philippines proudly introduced its second book, “Pamilya Papel” (Paper Family), during a media launch held at the PJL Corporate Center in Makati City earlier today. The event showcased the touching story of adoption and family, highlighting the Consulate’s commitment to supporting social development initiatives aimed at the welfare of children.

Authored by the acclaimed Genaro R. Gojo Cruz and illustrated by Tin Javier, “Pamilya Papel” narrates the journey of Miko, a young boy who navigates the complexities of adoption and ultimately finds a loving family. The book’s engaging narrative and vibrant illustrations emphasize the importance of family bonds, love, and belonging, making it an inspiring read for audiences of all ages.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of San Marino to the Philippines, expressed his enthusiasm for the book’s release. “The Consulate General of the Republic of San Marino in the Philippines has consistently supported social development initiatives focused on improving the well-being of children, particularly orphans. It is heartwarming to know that some Filipino children have found homes in San Marino, embraced by welcoming Sammarinese families. The Republic of San Marino and the Philippines share a deep appreciation for the importance of family and community. By partnering with Bookmark Inc. to publish ‘Pamilya Papel,’ we are reinforcing our shared values and our commitment to creating a better world for all children,” Lhuillier said.

The launch of “Pamilya Papel” not only marks the Consulate’s continued dedication to social causes but also serves as a celebration of the enduring bonds that connect people, regardless of background. The book seeks to shed light on the beauty of adoption, the resilience of the human spirit, and the power of love in bringing people together.

The Consulate General of the Republic of San Marino – Philippines encourages the public to support the cause by purchasing a copy of “Pamilya Papel,” available on the Bookmark website, Shopee, and Lazada. By sharing Miko’s story, the Consulate hopes to inspire more people to appreciate the value of family and to consider adoption as a path to providing children with a loving and supportive home.
