Samsung Create is an initiative aimed at university students and young professionals in the Philippines that uses artificial intelligence (AI), immersive and metaverse technologies, robotics, and network and connectivity technologies to generate ideas for innovations that can be applied to areas like education, government, and the environment. Participants in the Samsung Create program will also have the chance to get guidance from the top-notch engineers at the SPRH.
“Samsung Electronics Philippines and Samsung R & D Institute Philippines are moving closer to our joint commitment to give the Filipino youth more opportunities to take part in the country’s transformation. Through this program, we also aim to equip students and young professionals with the necessary skills and experiences as they will be mentored by experts who will help turn their dreams into concrete solutions to today’s relevant matters in Education, Health, Agriculture, Governance, Environment and the Society. With Samsung Create, our dream is for more Filipinos to have the opportunity to unlock their full potential as they embark on this journey where they can showcase their best innovative ideas,” according to Minsu Chu, President of SEPCO.
Yongduk Hwang, Vice President of the SRPH, has expressed that Samsung’s goal with Samsung Create is to give young Filipinos more ways to contribute to the country’s ongoing social and economic transformation and to give them the tools they need to make an impact in the communities where they live. He also urged the government, businesses, and the academe to work together to help the country’s youth realize their full potential.
Idea submissions are now open for the Samsung Create program, and the submission period ends on 21 January 2023.
