The Provincial Government of Bataan, in partnership with Premier Apple Partner Power Mac Center (PMC), has ramped up its efforts to modernize education through digital tools. In a turnover ceremony led by Bataan Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III, over 4,000 MacBook devices were distributed to elementary school teachers, school heads, and computer-equipped institutions across the province.

This initiative is part of Bataan’s push for digital transformation in classrooms, aimed at improving teaching and learning through technology integration. By equipping educators with modern devices, the province seeks to enhance lesson planning, interactive learning, and the overall student experience.

“Power Mac Center is honored to extend our education solutions to the local government of Bataan and its dedicated teachers to empower them amid the increasingly tech-driven education setting. We hope to partner with more local governments and members of the academe in our mission to continuously help Filipino students be globally competitive,” according to PMC Director for Marketing and Product Management Joey Alvarez.

PMC has played a crucial role in supporting Bataan’s educational initiatives by offering services beyond device distribution. The partnership includes product procurement, priority servicing and repairs, as well as specialized technical training for teachers, school administrators, and IT personnel. These training sessions focus on maximizing the potential of Apple devices in education and fostering innovation in classrooms.

Bataan Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia emphasized the importance of this investment, saying, “Alam natin na makakatulong ito sa inyong pagtuturo, paggawa ng inyong mga lesson plans (We know that this will help you in your teaching, creating your lesson plans). Makakaasa po kayo at ipinagmamalaki ko sa iba pang mga Vice Governor sa ibang probinsya na talagang ang ating SEF o special education fund ay talaga namang ramdam sa ating lalawigan ng Bataan, at talagang ibinibigay natin yung parte para sa ating education system (Rest assured and I proudly tell Vice Governors in other provinces that our SEF or special education fund is fully harnessed in our province of Bataan, and we are really giving the share for our education system).”

This latest turnover follows a successful first phase in 2023, which provided Apple devices to over 2,500 junior and senior high school teachers, along with Division supervisors. The long-term goal of the program is to prepare students in Bataan for a future that demands digital proficiency.

PMC has been a key player in providing educational technology solutions, offering tailored packages for schools and local governments nationwide. With over 120 retail stores, including locations in Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Zambales, PMC ensures accessibility for academic institutions looking to enhance their digital capabilities.

Beyond institutional partnerships, PMC also offers special education pricing on Apple products, including iMacs, MacBooks, iPads, and accessories, for students, faculty, and school administrators.
