Metro Pacific Investments Corporation’s (MPIC) healthcare mega app, mWell, has unveiled its latest initiative, mWell@Work, a comprehensive wellness program designed to equip employees with the tools to overcome health challenges and enhance their physical and mental well-being. The program aims to create a healthier and more productive workforce by leveraging mWell’s extensive range of health and wellness features.
In support of its Mind Health advocacy, mWell@Work organized a series of webinars in collaboration with YMP Lead, a group of professional growth experts, and Ateneo Bulatao Center, the research arm of Ateneo de Manila University’s Psychology Department. YMP Lead focused on strategies for maintaining mental health, while Ateneo Bulatao Center discussed steps to take when employees are in distress. The informative sessions garnered active participation from hundreds of attendees from companies such as Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, PLDT, Smart, MedExpress, PhilCare, and Generali.
“As the number of our users continue to grow, mWell shall deliver programs and features to provide our countrymen with innovative and responsive healthcare solutions through our fully integrated health and wellness platform recognized globally,” according to mWell Chairman and MPIC Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan.
In a groundbreaking move, mWell forged a partnership with the Philippine Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), marking the first-ever collaboration between a Government-Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC) and a digital health app. PAGCOR employees now have access to over 1,000 doctors for 24/7 consultations using their health passes. The mWellness Score, an exclusive daily health tracker available on the mWell app, allows employees to monitor their physical activity, step count, and sleep patterns. To motivate employees on their wellness journey, mWell introduced the PAGCOR Steps Challenge, an in-app competition that rewards participants with exciting prizes as they increase their step count. The mWell@Work sign-up event was held in PAGCOR Pasay, Manila, and Tagaytay.
“Health is important to remain productive and provide for family needs. With mWell, office workers can consult our best partner doctors and health experts to help them overcome work-related health issues. They can also use the app’s mWellness Score feature to track their health daily or get into fitness and nutrition programs designed by experts. All of these will help employees power through the challenges at work as they keep both their mind and body healthy,” said Chaye Cabal-Revilla, mWell CEO and President and MPIC Chief Finance, Risk, and Sustainability Officer.
mWell became the official health and wellness partner of Delegate CX (DCX PH Inc.), a company comprising highly skilled global talent that specializes in providing promotional industry services to clients in the US. Through the mWell app, DCX team members can engage in the Steps Challenge, spread positivity, and inspire their colleagues to adopt healthier lifestyles.
Ensuring that enterprise partner employees receive comprehensive healthcare coverage, mWell offers customizable and stackable health plans. These plans include consultations with doctors and mental health professionals, accident insurance, emergency room coverage, and more. With prices starting as low as P2499 per year, employees and their dependents without existing HMO coverage can access these health packages, providing them with security and peace of mind.

The recent achievements of mWell have garnered recognition in prestigious industry awards. The app was honored with two Gold Stevie® Awards in the categories of Innovation in Health & Wellness and Most Innovative Startup of the Year – Business Service Industries at the 10th annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. It stands as the sole Philippine entry to win Gold in these two categories, while other countries like Vietnam, Taiwan, and Australia secured Bronze awards. These accolades follow mWell’s recognition as the Best Mobile Innovation for Digital Life at the 2023 Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards, held during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
As a member of the MPIC Group, mWell remains committed to supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. The app also aligns with the MVP Group’s Gabay Kalusugan advocacy, which aims to promote quality and affordable healthcare.
To access a range of wellness features and consult with partner doctors, individuals can download the mWell PH app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and complete the registration process. Be sure to follow mWell on Facebook and Instagram.
