Solar Photovoltaic (PV) products and solar power technology solutions provider LONGi has once again received recognition at the 2021 edition of the TÜV Rheinland “All Quality Matters” Solar Congress. LONGI’s Hi-MO 4 and Hi-MO 5 high-efficiency modules won awards for Photovoltaic (PV) Module Outdoor Energy Yield (Monofacial Group) and PV Module Energy Yield Simulation (Bifacial monocrystalline group) respectively. The company is also the exclusive module supplier of the 232MW integrated wind and solar power plant in Ilocos Norte
TÜV Rheinland Solar Congress entered its 7th year, and has become a platform for communication and exchange in the industry and connected China’s PV industry with the global market, in addition to formulate new international standards.
LONGi Solar is the only solar module manufacturer to receive “Outstanding Performance” award for five consecutive years.
The “All Quality Matters” Award aims to standardize product quality and establish quality benchmarks has brought together outstanding benchmark enterprises in the PV industry chain. Highly regarded by the industry for its objective and credible evaluation process and authoritative neutral selection mechanism, it has now become a competitive stage for enterprises in the PV industry involved in PV modules, inverters, energy storage systems, components, etc.
In addition to the global recognition of LONGi’s product performance and reliability, the company also announced its recent record breaking 25.09% N-Type cell efficiency. Testing at the Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH) in Hamelin, Germany, has confirmed that the conversion efficiency of N-type monocrystalline bifacial TOPCon cells developed at LONGi’s Cell R&D Center has reached 25.09%, the first time that the efficiency of a TOPCon cell based on a commercial size silicon wafer has exceeded 25%.
Based on its original innovative industrialized cell technology, the LONGi Cell R&D Center continually provides upgrades to PV industry technology. Indeed, in January 2019 the company achieved 24.06% front conversion efficiency for a monocrystalline bifacial PERC solar cell, a record which still stands.
Between 2012 and 2020, LONGi invested close to RMB 8 billion (US$1.2B) in R&D and accumulated a total of 1,001 authorized patents, enabling the company to maintain its position as a leader in PV industry innovation.
