LG Electronics unveiled its groundbreaking vision for AI-powered customer experiences, themed “Life’s Good 24/7 with Affectionate Intelligence,” at the LG World Premiere event held on the eve of CES 2025. The event, regarded as one of the most significant tech showcases globally, attracted over 1,000 attendees, including media representatives, industry partners, and global stakeholders.
The press conference featured an immersive stage setup divided into three key areas — home, mobility, and commercial spaces — designed to demonstrate how LG’s AI innovations seamlessly integrate into everyday life. Through vivid demonstrations and storytelling, LG highlighted how its advanced AI solutions can transform personal and professional environments.
Revolutionizing AI with Empathy
LG’s “Affectionate Intelligence” seeks to redefine AI from a purely technical concept to a customer-centric experience. The company aims to leverage AI technologies to understand and empathize with user needs, delivering personalized and intuitive services across diverse settings.
LG CEO William Cho emphasized this vision in his keynote address, highlighting the integration of connected devices, advanced AI agents, and innovative services, “At LG, we’re seamlessly integrating AI into physical living spaces around us. We see space not merely as a physical location but as an environment where holistic experiences come to life — across the Home, Mobility, Commercial and even Virtual spaces. In these spaces, devices and services will harmonize to create entirely new customer value. This is where our Affectionate Intelligence truly shines, clearly standing out from the others.”
Key Innovations & Strategic Partnerships
Cho detailed LG’s plans to enhance its AI ecosystem, focusing on its generative AI agent, LG FURON. This agent utilizes real-time spatial sensing and lifestyle insights to deliver tailored solutions, from adjusting home environments to assisting with daily schedules.
LG’s partnership with Microsoft is another cornerstone of this vision. The two companies are collaborating to develop AI-integrated services, including voice recognition technologies and energy-efficient solutions for AI data centers.
“At Microsoft, we believe AI will fundamentally change the way we live and work, and we could not be more excited to partner with LG Electronics – the pioneers of smart, connected spaces – to integrate AI into life’s everyday experiences,” according to Judson Althoff, Microsoft’s Executive Vice President.
Immersive Demonstrations of AI-Powered Living
The event captivated audiences with a theatrical depiction of a family’s daily life enhanced by LG’s AI. From adjusting room temperatures to suggesting healthcare visits, LG’s AI showcased its ability to anticipate and respond to individual needs. The demonstrations extended to mobility, where AI-driven solutions improved safety, convenience, and in-car experiences, and to entertainment, where AI-enhanced TVs personalized content recommendations.
Concluding the keynote, CEO Cho reaffirmed LG’s dedication to leveraging AI for holistic customer value, whether in homes, vehicles, or workplaces. Initiatives like the LG Smart Cottage, software-defined vehicles, and AI-based manufacturing systems underline LG’s vision of a more connected and sustainable future.
