The Philippines’ first and largest multi-channel insurance platform Kwik.insure has partnered with GCash, the leading fintech player to help Filipino car owners conveniently purchase compulsory third-party liability (CTPL) and comprehensive car insurance policies through the eMoney platform.
Under the partnership, Kwik.insure and GCash will bring the two insurance products in GInsure, an in-app feature on the GCash app that allows users to purchase and manage their insurance policies.
As the car industry continues to bounce back — with 205,078 brand new vehicles sold in the market from the first quarter to the third quarter of 2021 — Kwik.insure offers a more convenient way of purchasing car insurance.
“There’s a consistent rise in car ownership here in the country and it has motivated us to further aid Filipinos when it comes to ensuring their safety and security on the road. Through this partnership, renewing and buying car insurance is now possible with just a few taps. We hope that hassle-free and easy transactions would become the norm through all these initiatives and partnerships that we form. GCash is the go-to digital wallet of almost every adult Filipino and we are happy to make our products available in their app,” according to Hamilton Angluben, Founder and CEO of Kwik.insure.
GCash users need only to go to GInsure, click on “Go to Marketplace” and choose the vehicle insurance that they need. After clicking on their preferred insurance policy, they just need to provide the complete details of their vehicle to see all their options.
“This partnership with Kwik.insure perfectly aligns with our goal of democratizing financial services in the Philippines. The pandemic changed how people use and perceive digital products, and we’re happy to deliver convenient financial transactions for our users, especially with partnerships like this in place,” said GCash President & CEO, Martha Sazon.
