Leading online job platform Jobstreet by SEEK, SM Supermalls, and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) have joined forces to launch a nationwide campaign called “Trabaho Para sa Bayan: J.O.B.S. (Job Opportunities Building Skills).” This initiative aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers while addressing the skills mismatch in the Philippines.

A ceremonial signing marked the official launch, which coincided with a job fair at the SM Mall of Asia last 09 May 2024. The collaboration will include a series of on-ground job fairs at SM malls across the country, as well as daily online job fairs on Jobstreet by SEEK’s platform.

The campaign targets a variety of industries crucial to the Philippine economy, including IT-BPO, healthcare, tourism, manufacturing, and construction. Job seekers can find opportunities and register for upcoming fairs at https://www.jobstreet.com.ph/page/sm-job-fair.

“Jobstreet by SEEK has always been enthusiastic about these collaborations so long as it benefits our Filipino candidates and hirers. We’re honored to have been given the opportunity to work with other like-minded organizations, driving us to continue facilitating better job matches between employers and candidates across the country,” according to Dannah Majarocon, Managing Director, Philippines, Jobstreet by SEEK.

The initiative goes beyond job placement. The “Trabaho Para sa Bayan: J.O.B.S.” Career Hub offers upskilling features, including career tips, resources, and templates to help Filipinos land their dream jobs. Employers can also benefit from the program. Jobstreet by SEEK’s new platform allows businesses to post unlimited free job listings, reaching a talent pool of over 11.6 million Filipino candidates.

This collaborative effort signifies a significant step towards enhancing the Philippine labor market and creating a more skilled workforce.
