IWG, the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace solutions with brands like Regus, Spaces, and HQ, announced the grand opening of four (04) state-of-the-art coworking spaces in the Philippines this May. This strategic expansion strengthens IWG’s presence in the country, catering to the rising demand for hybrid work arrangements.

The new locations strategically situated across the Philippines include:

  • Regus Center in Nepo Centre, Angeles City, Pampanga (opened last 06 May 2024)
  • Regus Center in Adriatico, Manila (opened last 10 May 2024)
  • HQ Workspace in Triumph Building, Quezon City (opened last 14 May 2024)
  • Spaces in PNB Makati (opened last 15 May 2024)

These openings follow IWG’s impressive global expansion in 2023, adding a staggering 867 locations worldwide. The Philippines is a key market for IWG, reflecting the growing preference for hybrid work models. According to PwC, over half (51%) of Filipino respondents favor hybrid work, fueled by factors like rising foreign investments, strong GDP, and increasing affluence.

With these new additions, IWG’s network in the Philippines expands to 31 centers, with projections exceeding 40 by year-end. This ambitious target signifies a doubling of their presence compared to 2023. The extensive network covers key cities like Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Cebu, Subic, Angeles City, Baguio, and the entire National Capital Region. Soon boasting over 40 locations nationwide, IWG will solidify its position as the Philippines’ leader in flexible workspace solutions.

“We are pleased to announce the opening of these four new locations in the Philippines this month. We see immense potential in the country’s hybrid work landscape and as important business hubs in the region, these latest openings are aimed at strengthening our expansion plans, while leveling up the quality of the nation’s infrastructure to drive its economy into the future. These new centers are a testament to the fact companies are realizing flexible working is an enabler of employee productivity and improves sustainability, while increasing scalability so that businesses can grow faster while exerting greater control over costs,” according to Lars Wittig, Senior Vice-President, APAC NORTH, IWG.

IWG’s success in the Philippines stems from strategic partnerships with local investors and partners. This collaboration has established a robust network of hybrid working spaces empowering businesses of all sizes. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have particularly benefited from these flexible workspaces, utilizing them as springboards to scale their operations regionally, nationally, and even globally. As a result, IWG Philippines enjoys outstanding margin growth, further bolstered by its continuous network expansion.

Looking beyond Manila’s central business district, IWG’s strategic expansion ensures businesses across the country have access to premium and adaptable workspaces. This not only fosters economic development but also empowers businesses by providing them with the flexibility they need to thrive.

IWG’s commitment to innovation extends to its annual investment of around US$64 million in its technology platform. This investment empowers partners with access to IWG’s expertise, design support, and fit-out solutions. This model has been instrumental in making IWG Philippines one of the company’s top-performing markets globally.

The global trend towards hybrid work is accelerating, presenting an exponential growth opportunity. With an estimated 1.2 billion white-collar workers worldwide and a market exceeding US$2 trillion, the future of work is undeniably flexible. Businesses are gradually shifting away from traditional office spaces, opting for the adaptability and cost-effectiveness offered by flexible work solutions.

Reflecting this trend, IWG welcomed over 800 new partner locations last year alone. IWG boasts an impressive customer base, accounting for 83% of Fortune 500 companies among its clientele. Spanning over 4,000 locations in more than 120 countries, IWG provides its members with seamless access to all its locations and business services through the user-friendly IWG app.

IWG’s multi-brand strategy caters to a diverse range of businesses and entrepreneurs. By embracing flexibility, businesses can enhance their productivity, efficiency, agility, and proximity to their target markets.
