InLife Sheroes, the flagship program for women’s empowerment by InLife, marked its fifth anniversary with a grand celebration, spotlighting the achievements of Filipino women and launching the inaugural InLife Sheroes Awards.
Led by Executive Chairperson Nina D. Aguas and InLife Dreamweaver Sharon Cuneta, the event showcased a diverse lineup of performances including seasoned actress and singer Mitch Valdez, multi-talented performer Aryn Cristobal, stand-up comedian Nicki Morena, with versatile comedienne KaladKaren as the host.
Reflecting on its journey since its inception in 2019, Aguas noted InLife Sheroes’ remarkable outreach, having impacted over 6.5 million Filipino women through a spectrum of on-ground and online initiatives. The program, established in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, focuses on empowering women entrepreneurs with life and health protection alongside financial solutions for business expansion.
Strategic collaborations with organizations such as the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment, the University of the Philippines – Manila’s Mu Sigma Phi, and the I Can Serve Foundation among others have bolstered InLife Sheroes’ endeavors. In addition, recent efforts include the launch of Resilience Female Cancers, a critical illness life insurance plan catering to women suffering from various cancers.
Sharon Cuneta, herself a Shero, unveiled a video series on her YouTube channel, emphasizing the significance of adopting a healthier lifestyle and preparing for financial exigencies.
The anniversary event, held at Manila Peninsula’s Rigodon Ballroom last 12 March 2024, also marked the introduction of the InLife Sheroes Awards. Recognizing women who embody the program’s pillars, including financial literacy, health advocacy, and business leadership, the awards invite nominations accompanied by a 500-word profile outlining the nominee’s contributions.
Nominations for the InLife Sheroes Awards are open until 15 August 2024 and can be submitted via email to [email protected].
