HONOR Philippines has achieved a historic milestone as the HONOR X9c 5G set a new Guinness World Record for “The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously.” This feat was accomplished by 264 participants who simultaneously dropped the yet-to-be-launched HONOR X9c 5G, cementing its reputation as the toughest smartphone in the market.
The record-breaking event highlighted the durability of the HONOR X9c 5G, which boasts an SGS 5-Star rating for Drop Resistance. Designed to withstand drops from up to two meters, the device redefines industry standards for smartphone resilience. It is also equipped with an IP65M water resistance rating, capable of being submerged in water up to 25 cm deep for a maximum of five minutes.
“A win for HONOR is a win for the Filipinos. Prior to its launch, the toughest phone already has already set a Guinness World Record and this is a feat for everyone who supported us since day one. But we still have big news to share with everyone so stay tuned on January 10,” according to Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines.
Adding to its impressive credentials, the HONOR X9c 5G has passed extreme temperature tests, withstanding conditions as cold as -40°C and as hot as 70°C. The phone’s “boiling test” durability is expected to spark excitement on social media, further showcasing its robust build.
The HONOR X9c 5G will be officially launched on 10 January 2025 at 6:00 PM via a live stream on HONOR Philippines’ Facebook page. Fans can tune in to witness the unveiling of this groundbreaking device.
