The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has certified Holcim Philippines, Inc.‘s plant in Bulacan as a premier facility capable of testing materials used for the government’s infrastructure projects.
Located in Norzagaray, Bulacan, Holcim Philippines’ cement factory has passed DPWH’s laboratory competency, quality management, customer reliability, and products specification to be accredited until November 2023.
“Many thanks to the DPWH for accrediting the materials testing laboratory of our Bulacan plant, which is supplying a number of important infrastructure projects in Luzon. Technical support is important for such projects so this accreditation can further strengthen our customer’s confidence in the quality of our products coming from the Bulacan Plant,” according to Horia Andrian, President and CEO of Holcim Philippines.
Prior to this latest DPWH accreditation, Holcim Philippines’ Technical Services and Product Development laboratory in Parañaque City received its accreditation in 2017, while its cement plant in Davao City is currently undergoing evaluation for certification.
The company also has mobile laboratories which are ready to be deployed so that customers no longer need to travel and visit Holcim Philippines plant sites. These mobile laboratories are capable of conducting material testing of products made in concrete, aggregates, and soil.
