YouTube announced an online virtual training event called “Creator Day: Education” to equip teachers and learning creators with the knowledge and skills to effectively use YouTube as a tool for complementary learning as part of its ongoing commitment to help drive inclusive learning in the country.
To be held on Thursday, 25 March 2021, at 3:00 PM on the local YouTube channel and Facebook page of Google, all teachers and learning creators who want to attend may simply register via http://bit.ly/CreatorDayEdu.
“Creator Day: Education” will be featuring speakers from Google, YouTube, and the content creation space. The event will discuss the fundamentals and strategies of channel creation and management, content production and programming techniques, and YouTube learning best practices both from the perspectives of Google experts and actual educreators. Each presentation will run for approximately 35 minutes which includes a live Q&A segment towards the end.
“YouTube is fast emerging as the destination for supplemental and interest-based learning. In fact, globally, more than 75% of people turned to YouTube to learn something new, develop a skill, or deepen their knowledge about a topic. We hope that through the Creator Day: Education initiative, we’ll be able to accelerate the growth of learning content on YouTube in the Philippines and at the same time, help teachers and learning creators grow and succeed on the platform,” according to Siddharth Srinivasan, Head of YouTube Content Partnerships for Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
