Globe, TM, and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi users who missed the SIM registration deadline yesterday, 25 July 2023 now have a final opportunity to comply with the law. However, time is of the essence, as the grace period extends only from 26 to 30 July 2023.

Non-compliant subscribers have already experienced the impact of missing the deadline, with outgoing services and incoming calls deactivated. Nevertheless, there is hope to salvage their SIM cards from permanent deactivation as long as they act promptly.

“Globe recognizes the essential role of uninterrupted mobile and broadband services in our customers’ daily lives. So, as provided for in the law, SIM users get this last chance to register their SIMs after missing the initial and extended registration deadlines. Our team is committed to assisting our customers who need help. We strongly urge everyone to seize this opportunity to avoid any inconvenience,” according to Ernest Cu, Globe Group President and CEO.

During this five-day grace period (from 26 to 30 July 2023), affected users can still receive incoming SMS, enabling them to obtain a One-Time Pin for SIM registration. The process of reactivation and restoration of full mobile services involves connecting to a WiFi network and completing the registration through Globe’s dedicated platform or the GlobeOne app. Assistance is available for walk-in customers at Globe Stores and EasyHubs.

It is crucial for subscribers to take advantage of this final grace period, as failure to reactivate their SIMs within this timeframe will result in permanent deactivation. Consequently, all services, including incoming and outgoing text messages, calls, and mobile data connectivity, will be disabled. Access to active mobile applications, such as banking and transport apps, will be impacted, affecting daily needs.

As of 31 July 2023, all remaining load balances and promo registrations on unregistered SIMs will also be forfeited. Subscribers with deactivated SIMs will need to purchase new ones and go through the registration process to activate them.

SIM registration is not only about retaining mobile services; it is an integral part of an initiative to strengthen customer security and prevent fraud. By completing this crucial step, users can ensure their digital safety. Globe, TM, and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi customers are urged to act swiftly and responsibly during this final grace period to avoid the irreversible consequences of permanent deactivation.
