In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its presence in the Asia Pacific region and enhancing its capabilities in SAP consulting and managed services, Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Thailand Limited have jointly announced the acquisition of Thailand-based SAP consultancy, Innovation Consulting Services (ICS). This acquisition, marking the seventh in a series by Fujitsu Limited since 2021, underscores the company’s commitment to its programmatic M&A strategy and its ambition to establish itself as a global leader in Digital Transformation.
Founded in 2002, Innovation Consulting Services (ICS) has earned a reputation for its proficiency in SAP solutions and services. The acquisition will significantly contribute to Fujitsu’s portfolio transformation, particularly in the “Business Applications” segment, one of the seven Key Focus Areas (KFAs) outlined in Fujitsu’s global Uvance portfolio.
“I am delighted that Fujitsu is investing in an ASEAN-based technology company, supporting ICS’ business expansion. ICS has highly skilled SAP consultants in Thailand, Singapore, and other ASEAN countries, further cementing Fujitsu’s position in the APAC SAP services market. SAP is a key pillar of our growth strategy and our global KFAs, significantly contributing to our customers’ Digital Transformation (DX) and Sustainability Transformation (SX) journeys. This acquisition will also allow Fujitsu to accelerate the establishment of our Asia Pacific SAP Community of Skills and enhance the capability of our Global Delivery Centres (GDC) in the ASEAN market. I would like to welcome ICS into the Fujitsu family,” according to Graeme Beardsell, CEO of Fujitsu Asia Pacific.
This strategic move will further reinforce Fujitsu’s SAP capabilities in the Uvance cross-industry verticals, including Sustainable Manufacturing, Consumer Experience, Trusted Society, and Healthy Living. By leveraging ICS’s expertise, Fujitsu aims to enhance its competitiveness and SAP business capabilities in the Asia Pacific region.
“We are excited to welcome ICS to Fujitsu Thailand. The combined entity of Fujitsu Thailand and ICS will enable us to address our customers’ and societies’ greatest challenges faster than we could have otherwise achieved organically,” said Kanokkamon Laohaburanakit, Managing Director, Fujitsu Thailand.
The acquisition capitalizes on the shared wealth of SAP experience, expertise, and professional track records of both Fujitsu and ICS. These synergies will enable the swift delivery of comprehensive SAP offerings to new customers and bolster Fujitsu’s contribution to SAP business in the region. Simultaneously, both companies will continue to provide their existing SAP offerings to their current customer base.
“The acquisition by Fujitsu will help us expand our end-to-end cloud capability, consulting and managed services to new markets and geographies. We believe that by combining our strengths, we can extend our expertise and provide our customers with more value. The acquisition will also bring new professional development opportunities for our employees with access to a global network. We look forward to an exciting future as a Fujitsu company,” Panadda Promwongsak, CEO, ICS added.
This strategic acquisition signifies Fujitsu’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the Asia Pacific region and strengthening its position as a global leader in Digital Transformation. With Innovation Consulting Services now under its umbrella, Fujitsu is poised to enhance its SAP consulting and managed services offerings, further solidifying its presence in the evolving technology landscape.
