Malayan High School of Science, a subsidiary of Mapua University and a member of the Yuchengo Group of Companies (YGC), is offering free skills enhancement courses this summer.
Students will be immersed in four-day online short courses on the basics of robotics and coding under the Malayan Experience 2021 Program. Two (02) subsequent batches for the program will start on April 7th and April 14th.
“Through Malayan Experience, students will be able to discover and develop technical skills by learning the basics in designing, building, and operating robots as well as in designing and coding games and applications. They can also be immersed in the Malayan culture and build friendships with other Malayan students,” according to Malayan Science Principal Emmillie Joy B. Mejia.
On the other hand, the school’s Summer Enhancement Program 2021 will offer Mathematics, Science, Multimedia, Robotics, and Technical Writing courses. Each training course will be conducted online for one (01) week, free of charge starting on May 24th. The online program aims to prepare students for the upcoming school year and will also serve as a training platform for those eyeing to join annual academic competitions.
“With the foundational knowledge that students have in these subject areas, the Summer Enhancement Program will help student participants to focus on the more challenging topics. We believe that early preparation is very important. With our training programs, we are providing students an enjoyable and fulfilling preparation for junior high school,” Mejia added.
Trainers will be using Microsoft Teams and Cardinal EDGE as the main platforms for the program. Students will receive an electronic certificate (e-certificate) as proof of completion of the program.
Incoming Grade 7 students may join Malayan Experience, while enrolled Malayan Science students, incoming Grade 7 students, and transferees are welcome to join the Summer Enhancement Program. Registration for the Malayan Experience is ongoing until May 15, while applications for the Summer Enhancement Program will start on May 17.
