Following a resounding success in attracting freelance delivery partners during a recent caravan event, foodpanda logistics has announced plans to onboard an additional 2,000 new Ka-pandas through a streamlined process.

The company’s initiative, unveiled during a bustling caravan event in Pasig, aims to accommodate the growing interest among freelance delivery partners seeking to join the platform. Yesterday’s event in Pasay drew hundreds of eager participants, prompting foodpanda logistics to organize a follow-up event to cater to the increasing demand.

“We’re opening our doors to welcome 2,000 new delivery partners to our Ka-panda fleet – whether you are a motorcycle rider, a biker, or a walker. Our Ka-pandas come from diverse backgrounds—some work part-time, others freelance across multiple platforms, and many rely on foodpanda logistics as their primary source of income. So those who will be joining us can depend on a platform that will offer them a livelihood with freedom and flexibility,” according to Ron Sanders, foodpanda logistics Rider Experience Lead as he shared that this is a bid to provide more livelihood opportunities for those seeking flexible employment avenues while enhancing their delivery capabilities and enhance the overall customer experience.

The second leg of the caravan took place in Pasig City, and offered freelancers the opportunity to sign up and onboard to the delivery platform instantly. Participants stand to benefit from bonuses and other enticing perks upon joining.

In addition to facilitating swift onboarding procedures, foodpanda logistics is bolstering its support infrastructure to assist both new and existing Ka-pandas. A dedicated Rider Support Express was available onsite to address inquiries and provide assistance to delivery partners.

Over the past year, foodpanda logistics has been actively engaging with delivery partners through its innovative pandaPatrol: Hub on Wheels initiative. This mobile support unit traverses various cities and neighborhoods, offering interactive games and activities while serving as a convenient hub for delivery partners to connect with company representatives and voice any concerns.

Newly onboarded delivery partners will undergo comprehensive training sessions covering essential topics such as road safety and efficient delivery practices, ensuring their readiness to meet the demands of the job.

To incentivize and reward its dedicated workforce, foodpanda logistics offers a range of benefits and activities for Ka-pandas. The Bamboo Rewards program allows delivery partners to accumulate points for each successful delivery, which can be redeemed for complimentary merchandise. Partnerships with insurance providers ensure comprehensive coverage during delivery sessions, while discounts on health essentials further support the well-being of Ka-pandas.
