Earlier today, Team Mozilla Philippines made history by staging the very first Firefox OS Workshop in the country. Thanks to our friends at the De La Salle University – Manila for playing host to this first of a series of lectures being conducted by our team.
The MozillaPH team was composed of Mozilla Reps (ReMo) Joell Lapitan, Kevin John Ventura, Aaron Joshua Cajes, Kemuel Joseph Domanog (head of the documentation team), and yours truly. The event will not be a success without the help of our Firefox Student Ambassadors from different colleges and universities.
Attendees of the workshop were given an overview of what Firefox OS is. They were then given insights on how easy it is to create webapps for Firefox OS. A topic on how to send created apps to the Firefox Marketplace was also discussed. Towards the of the afternoon, almost all of the attendees were able to create their very first Firefox OS app.
Our sincerest thanks to Mr. Ralph Vincent Regalado for inviting Team MozillaPH to conduct the workshop for his students. This is just the first. Watch out for more Firefox OS Workshops at DLSU.
