Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines’ premiere theme park invited me and my family to spend our early Valentine’s Day at Sta. Rosa, Laguna (some 38 kilometers south of Metro Manila) today.
How kewl and awesome the beautiful guys and gals of EK were to us?! We were asked to stay at the Guest Relations Office and was eventually allowed to be inside the theme park even before EK opened its doors to the guests today.
Like when we were in Hong Kong Disneyland last September 2011, the first thing that we did was to rent a stroller for Robyn Andi Xeon (rental is just at PHP150 for the entire day – not bad, as it is actually cheaper than those found in malls within Metro Manila).
We were the first family to have our pictures taken with Eldar the Wizard and Princess Victoria today.
While waiting for the Exclusive Media Launch of The Music of Enchanted Kingdom CD to start, we were first treated to a sumptuous lunch inside Eldar’s Tent.
Then, some members of the EK Circle of Artists gave a preview of some of the cuts from the album.
After the CD album launch, I had a chance to meet Dr. Cynthia Mamon, Enchanted Kingdom’s (EK) Vice-President for Sales, Marketing, Imagineering & Entertainment (SMILE) – she is also the former Managing Director of Sun Microsystems Philippines.
Then, we started exploring the theme park – it was wifey, son, and yaya’s first time here at EK; for me, I had been to EK several times already, but the last time I can remember being at EK was during the college days (EK opened in 1995, I think).
My 4-year old son was brave enough to join his mom and yaya at the Jungle Log Jam:
This was the very first time I rode the Wheel of Fate (Ferris Wheel) at EK – actually, the very first time I was actually inside a Ferris Wheel!
This was also the highest point I had ever been without the power of an engine (read as planes) …
When I thought my son was brave enough to ride the Jungle Log Jam, well he wanted to try this roller coaster ride (nope, not the Space Shuttle) … then followed by several more rides …
We even watched the 4D version of Yogi Bear, the movie …
Even if it was a rainy Sunday, my entire family enjoyed this awesome experience! Thank you very much to Enchanted Kingdom! So true, the “Magic stays with you …”
