DITO Telecommunity has overtaken Smart Communications as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines, according to the latest October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report by Opensignal. The rapidly growing telco secured dominance in speed and overall user experience, winning 14 awards and solidifying its reputation as the country’s leading provider in 5G connectivity.
DITO Sets the Benchmark in 5G Speeds
DITO claimed all four speed-related awards in Opensignal’s report, highlighting its superior performance in both overall and 5G speeds. The company recorded a remarkable 5G download speed of 287.2 Mbps — nearly double that of Smart’s 147.5 Mbps and far ahead of Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. In terms of overall download speeds, DITO also led the market with an average of 34.6 Mbps, outpacing Smart (28.6 Mbps) and Globe (20.9 Mbps).
Industry-Leading Experience Across Video, Gaming, and Calls
Beyond speed, DITO also received top honors for its user experience across various digital activities. It was named the No. 1 mobile network in the Philippines for Video Experience, Games Experience, and Voice App Experience, indicating that subscribers enjoy high-quality streaming, seamless gaming, and crystal-clear voice calls on the network.
DITO was recognized for its widespread network availability, consistency, and reliability, securing titles such as the Most Available Mobile Network (overall and 5G), Most Consistent Network Quality, and Most Reliable Network in the country.
