Converge ICT Solutions Inc. continues to champion women entrepreneurs through its comprehensive programs and policies. At the recent Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2024, Converge highlighted its commitment to empowering women in the digital age.

Joy Enriquez, Converge Regional Sales Manager for Northern and Central Luzon, emphasized the company’s dedication to gender equality. “At Converge, tayong mga babae ay may lugar. Hindi kami naniniwala na lalake ang nangunguna when it comes to technology. We have fair gender policies when it comes to hiring and promotion, plus an anti-sexual harassment policy in place,” said Enriquez.

The company’s fair hiring and promotion practices, along with its anti-sexual harassment policy, create a conducive environment for women to thrive.

Converge’s commitment to women’s empowerment extends beyond its internal policies. As a signatory to the UN Women Empowerment Principles and a supporter of the DTI’s DIWA (Digital Innovation for Women Advancement) Program, the company actively promotes women’s representation in the digital sphere.

To further empower women entrepreneurs, Converge offers its Surf2Sawa Social Media and Livelihood Training program. These trainings equip small businesses, including women-led enterprises, with the skills to improve their business models and marketing strategies. By providing both onsite and online training, Converge ensures entrepreneurs’ accessibility and flexibility.

The recent launch of Converge’s Micro Biz Max plan further widens access to connectivity for micro-entrepreneurs. This affordable internet plan, priced at PHP1,449 with up to 75 Mbps speeds, is designed to meet the connectivity needs of small businesses, including those owned by women.

“We are providing the fastest and most reliable internet in the market at an affordable price, enabling MSMEs to fully leverage digitalization,” Enriquez added.

The DTI-3 summit, themed “Celebrating Region-3 Women in Business,” featured various sessions aimed at equipping women entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in today’s evolving business landscape. A mini trade fair showcased products from women-led MSMEs, providing participants with the opportunity to explore and support local businesses.

Converge’s dedication to empowering women entrepreneurs aligns with its broader mission of connecting Filipinos and driving digital transformation. By providing accessible and affordable connectivity solutions, the company is helping women-led MSMEs thrive and contribute to the economic growth of the country.
