In a surprising turn of events in the local transportation and on-demand delivery services scene, Grab Philippines President Brian Cu is stepping down based on a statement released by the company Wednesday evening.
“Brian will be leaving his role as Grab Philippines President on 14 August 2020, having joined us seven years ago. We send our heartfelt thanks to Brian for managing the Grab Philippines business for the past few years, where he’s grown the business from a fledgling startup to where it is today. He has decided to move on to focus other business interests as an entrepreneur in the startup scene, and we wish him the very best,” according to Russell Cohen, Group Managing Director – Operations for Grab.
The company said that In the next few weeks, Brian, together with the leadership of Grab Philippines, will be focusing on a thorough and seamless transition to ensure consistency and continuity of Grab’s goals and operations in the country. Ronald Roda, Grab Philippines’ Head of Transport and Shared Services will continue to be the Head of Country Operations, while Nicka Hosaka will continue to serve as the Official Spokesperson for Grab Philippines.
