The country’s leading information technology (IT) trade association unwraps big price cuts, special discounts and promotions and bargains on a wide variety of personal gadgets, techno gizmos and business solutions right at the start of the gift-giving season.
The Computer Manufacturers, Distributors and Dealers Association of the Philippines (COMDDAP) brings “I.T.’s a SALE!” at the COMDDAP Expo Manila 2010, which opens today and will run until Sunday, December 5, from 10AM to 7PM at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City. Admission is free.
For four days, COMDDAP will exclusively offer visitors marked down prices (and even outright giveaways for auctioned products) on personal computers, laptops, printers, home entertainment systems, consumer and home electronics, digital cameras, mobile phones and other hot and smart gadgets.
Considered the “IT sale of the year”, the event marks the 27th edition of the country’s biggest and longest-running information technology exhibit with top brands, products and services offered at their lowest prices or auctioned off exclusively for visitors.
Consumers and visitors to the annual Expo can flick through and actually try out new products on display or check on customized services as the Expo is designed as a convenient one-stop-shop destination for all kinds of consumers of every budget size: professionals, business owners, technology enthusiasts, students, overseas Filipino workers and even tiangge shoppers looking for bargains.
Get as much as 70 percent discount
For starters, GTC-ALDIS Philippines will unveil at the Expo a full range of Hyundai LED and LCD TV models at screen sizes of 19, 22, 24, 32, 42, and 55 inches. Its 32-inch HLED-32V model, an ultra thin full HD (WXGA) LED TV with a swivel base stand will be offered at the Expo for an introductory price lower than P30,000, while its 42-inch full HD LCD TV is priced at only P29,990.
Besides offering combo packages, GTC-ALDIS will also give discounts of up to 30 percent on Hyundai, Dell and Logitech products.
For the adventurous set, Wordtext Systems, Inc. (WSI) offers as much as 70 percent price cut on Swiss travel accessories, a Buy 1-Take 1 option for Kodak C1013 digital camera (Get 2 cameras for only P4,998), 20 percent discount on all-in-one printer, scanner and copier HP DeskJet F735 (only P5,280) and a free PC Tools Internet Security 2010 for any buyer of its Phoenix brand of uninterrupted power supply.
WSI will also give big discounts and freebies on products from global brands it carries like Dell, HP, IBM, Kodak, McAfee, Microsoft, Norton, PC Tools, Sony, STAR, TRENDnet, eriTape and Smart Bro.
On the other hand, BC Net, Inc. slashed 20 percent on prices of its BiPbox (P4,500 down to P3,600), USBiP (P4,500 to P3,600) and MoBiP (P900 to P720).
For a unique gift idea, Advance Solutions, Inc. brings IntelliPen, a dexterous wireless device that instantly creates digital records of what one writes or draws on any paper. The budget-conscious can also participate in the hourly voice auction everyday as exhibitors bring products for auction with starting bids pegged at 50 percent off regular prices. Raffle prizes during the daily draws are also at stake for the lucky visitors.
