Berde Renewables Inc., a distributed renewable energy portfolio company of I Squared Capital, has joined forces with Power Systems and Solutions Co. Ltd. (PSS), a renewable energy developer and EPC firm with 105MW of experience in Thailand, to drive the clean energy transition in the Asia-Pacific region.
The newly formed joint venture will focus on developing and deploying solar photovoltaic (PV), battery storage, and hybrid energy solutions to meet the increasing demand for sustainable power in industrial, commercial, and grid-scale applications. The initiative will begin with an existing portfolio of 18.9 MWp of operational assets, 30 MWp under construction, and a pipeline of 170 MWp. Over the next three (03) years, the joint venture aims to develop, own, and operate a total of 300 MW of renewable energy projects.

“The energy transition demands bold action and strong partnerships. This joint venture strengthens Thailand’s renewable energy landscape by combining PSS’s deep market expertise with ISQ/Berde’s global expertise. Together, we are not just deploying megawatts—we are shaping a resilient, scalable, and bankable clean energy future for the region organically & inorganically,” according to Sam Yamdagni, Founder and CEO of PSS Group.
By leveraging Berde Renewables’ clean energy technologies and PSS Group’s expertise in engineering, power, renewables, and industrial services, the partnership aims to deliver integrated energy solutions that enhance efficiency, optimize asset management, and extend the lifespan of key energy infrastructure across Thailand’s renewable sector.
“This partnership is key to advancing our vision of accelerating the global transition to renewable energy. By combining our strengths, we aim to deliver innovative, world-class renewable energy solutions and empower organizations and industry leaders to drive decarbonization and sustainability, shaping a greener future,” said Morris Zhou, Co-founder of Berde Renewables Inc.
As Southeast Asia intensifies its focus on clean energy to address rising demand and climate change challenges, this partnership is set to play a crucial role in supporting the region’s energy objectives and fostering innovation in the renewable energy sector. With a strong pipeline of utility-scale projects, corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs), and grid-stabilizing solutions, Berde Renewables and PSS are well-positioned to expand operations across the region. Businesses and stakeholders looking to engage in strategic partnerships are encouraged to collaborate in advancing the decarbonization and energy transition movement.
