As an avid gamer, FELIP had always imagined himself saying iconic in-game lines, even during casual play sessions with friends and cousins. This collaboration was a natural fit, and it felt surreal for FELIP to bring his voice to life within the game. In case you are wondering, FELIP, whose full name is Felip Jhon Suson, is a Filipino artist best known for his work as a singer, songwriter, and performer. He is a member of the popular Filipino boy group SB19, which has gained significant recognition both in the Philippines and internationally. SB19 is known for its K-pop-influenced music (PPOP) and dynamic performances, blending various musical genres and styles.
The Creative Process
The creative process for developing FELIP’s voice pack was both collaborative and intense. FELIP and his team worked closely with PUBGM, ensuring that every detail was meticulously crafted. FELIP started by writing a few lines himself, drawing inspiration from his personal gaming experiences. “As a gamer myself, I’ve always imagined myself saying these lines, even with friends and cousins while we play casually, so it kind of felt normal for me while I was writing a few lines and rehearsing. But, during the recording, it also felt a little difficult as we recorded a lot of options as well,” according to FELIP on my email interview with him.
Recording the voice pack was an exhilarating yet challenging experience. FELIP recorded numerous options to ensure the best possible outcome. This involved not only delivering pre-written lines but also coming up with new ones on the spot. The process was highly collaborative, with input from both Team FELIP and the PUBGM team, reflecting their shared commitment to creating an authentic and engaging voice pack.
Excitement & Challenges
Planning and recording the voice pack were the most thrilling parts of the project for FELIP. The excitement was palpable, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable, thanks to the excellent team he had by his side. Despite the overall ease, there were moments of difficulty, particularly during the recording sessions. FELIP had to ensure that each line was delivered perfectly, capturing the right emotion and intensity.
One of FELIP’s favorite lines from the voice pack is “Bomba na garrr!” This line holds personal significance for him, as it’s something he would say while playing casually with friends. The authenticity and personal touch FELIP brought to the voice pack made it special. He wanted to create lines that would resonate with both his fans and PUBG MOBILE players, making them feel more connected and confident while playing the game.

To prepare for the voice acting sessions, FELIP wrote and rehearsed lines on his own. He focused on ensuring that his delivery would resonate with players. “I do play PUBGM a lot! It’s the only mobile game I play every time I get break times in between our busy schedule. I do a lot of TDMs. I hope my fans enjoy my voice pack, there are funny ones and serious sounding ones too — but most of all I hope PUBG MOBILE players feel more confident about themselves while they play every time they use my voice pack,” added by FELIP.
