Acer has once again emerged as the dominant player in the Philippine consumer and gaming notebook markets in 2024, securing an impressive 35.7% market share, according to a recent survey by GfK. The brand recorded a 34.2% market share in the consumer notebook segment and a commanding 40.6% in the gaming notebook category, reinforcing its position as a top choice among Filipino consumers.
With this market performance, Acer continues to hold a strong foothold in the local laptop industry, with one in every three laptops sold in the country being an Acer device.
Key Drivers of Growth
Acer’s sustained market leadership is attributed to its competitive pricing, expansive retail network, and impactful marketing strategies. The company has successfully tapped into emerging consumer trends while leveraging brand ambassadors like P-pop groups SB19 and G22 to engage with younger audiences.
In addition, Acer has strengthened its presence in the gaming sector through its Predator Gaming brand. The company remains committed to fostering the esports community in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly through initiatives such as the Asia Pacific Predator League, which has helped build brand trust and loyalty among gaming enthusiasts.
“These initiatives have built stronger brand equity, resulting in customers recognizing and trusting Acer and its products. For 2025 and beyond, our consumers can only expect the best of what we can offer,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Acer Philippines Managing Director.
Nationwide Reach & Accessibility

Acer’s broad availability across the Philippines has also contributed to its success. Consumers can purchase Acer products at Acer Concept Stores, authorized dealers, and major eCommerce platforms such as Lazada and Shopee. The brand’s strong online presence further enhances accessibility for tech-savvy buyers.
