Acer Day 2024 was a grand celebration that not only highlighted the brand’s commitment to innovation but also brought together music and technology enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience. Held on 04 August 2024 at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, the event featured performances from top Filipino artists and served as a platform to showcase Acer’s latest products, all under the inspiring theme “AI’m Limitless.”
This year’s theme, “AI’m Limitless,” aimed to inspire individuals to push beyond their boundaries and explore new possibilities with Acer’s diverse range of PCs and lifestyle products. The theme reflects Acer’s mission to empower users to unlock their potential, offering tools that enable creativity, productivity, and entertainment.
“Acer Day helps connect us with our customers through music and different activities that allow them to try the products which provide tools that enable individuals to explore limitless possibilities and bring their ideas to life,” according to Sue Ong Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines.
The highlight of the celebration was the highly anticipated Acer Day 2024 concert. The event drew a massive crowd, with over 20,000 attendees joining both in-person at the MOA Arena and online via Facebook livestream. Hosted by the ever-charismatic Luis Manzano, the concert featured a stellar lineup of performances that left the audience electrified.
Kicking off the show was the pop-alternative band Cup of Joe, who energized the crowd with their hit songs “Wag na Lang,” “Tingin,” and “Estranghero.” The band set the tone for an evening filled with musical brilliance.
Singer-songwriter TJ Monterde followed with his soulful renditions of “Mahika,” “Tulad Mo,” and “Palagi,” captivating the audience with his heartfelt performances. The mood intensified as OPM icon Ebe Dancel took the stage, delivering a powerful set that included his classic hits “Hari ng Sablay,” “Makita Kang Muli,” “Wag Kang Umiyak,” and “Bawat Daan.” Dancel’s connection with Acer dates back to the pandemic when the brand invited him to perform in a small, intimate setting for its executives and employees.
The energy in the arena soared as multi-instrumentalist and rock legend Rico Blanco delivered a dynamic performance with fan favorites like “Antukin,” “Umaaraw Umuulan,” “Your Universe,” “Kisapmata,” and “You’ll Be Safe Here.” The crowd was on their feet, fully immersed in the musical journey.
International superstar Sandara Park, a beloved figure in Filipino pop culture, joined forces with G22 for a unique performance of “In or Out.” Sandara, along with SB19, brought the house down with their 2023 Acer collaboration “Reset,” showcasing their incredible synergy and stage presence.
G22, dubbed the “Female Alphas of P-pop,” lit up the stage with their electrifying performances of “Boomerang,” “Bang,” “One Sided Love,” and “Loka.” Meanwhile, Sandara Park kept the audience engaged with her solo hits “Dara Dara,” “I Don’t Care,” and a medley of “I’m the Best+Can’t Nobody,” further fueling the evening’s high spirits.
The concert reached its climax with SB19, the “Kings of P-pop,” delivering a show-stopping performance with hits like “Gento,” “Hanggang sa Huli,” and “Crimzone.” They also surprised fans with a new, unreleased track titled “Kalakal,” featuring rapper Gloc 9, further solidifying their place at the top of the P-pop scene.
The grand finale saw SB19 and G22 unite on stage for the first-ever live performance of “Limitless,” the official theme song of Acer Day 2024, composed by SB19’s leader, Pablo. The performance embodied the event’s theme, showcasing the limitless potential of both Acer’s technology and the artists’ talents.
