LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled its latest innovation in the hospitality sector — Hotel TVs with built-in Google Cast — at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. The prestigious international event, held from 04 to 07 February 2025, saw LG highlight how Google’s technology is transforming in-room entertainment experiences for hotel guests worldwide.

Google Cast enables seamless streaming from personal devices such as phones, tablets, or computers to the hotel’s TV, providing secure and effortless access to over-the-top (OTT) streaming services. This feature enhances the guest experience, allowing them to enjoy their favorite content without the hassle of logging into TV apps. With LG’s Hotel TVs running webOS23 or later, guests can simply scan a QR code on the TV screen to connect their device, ensuring convenience and privacy throughout their stay.

The integration of Google Cast comes with hotel-specific features, including network isolation to maintain guest privacy. Once connected, the streaming session remains active for the duration of the stay and is automatically wiped after check-out, ensuring security. LG’s innovation further solidifies its leadership in the growing hospitality TV market, with the company’s B2B segment expanding rapidly.

“Many hotel guests nowadays wish to stream their favorite content from a personal device to their in-room TV. With LG Hotel TVs integrating Google Cast, they can enjoy a secure and convenient content-streaming experience, just like they’re used to at home. We will continue to strengthen our leadership in the hospitality TV market and enhance our B2B sector strategies,” said Paik Ki-mun, Head of Information Display Business of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.

Notably, LG’s hotel TVs are the first in the world to support both AirPlay and Google Cast, giving guests a unique dual-streaming experience. This follows the successful 2023 launch of LG’s AirPlay-equipped hotel TV, which rolled out globally in 2024. Alongside this, LG offers the Pro:Centric management solution, allowing hotel operators to personalize content for guests, providing a tailored in-room experience.

“LG Hotel TVs with Google Cast will deliver a seamless entertainment experience for guests. We’re excited to see LG’s momentum in bringing this seamless casting integration to the hospitality industry, providing travelers with the familiar comforts of home while on the go,” according to Tiger Lan, Senior Director of Engineering for Multi-Device Experiences at Google.

Visitors at ISE 2025 can explore these new features firsthand at LG’s booth, themed “Transforming Stays into Memorable Hospitality Experiences.”
