Gabay Guro is once again set to honor Filipino teachers with back-to-back tribute events in celebration of National Teachers’ Month and World Teachers’ Day. With the theme “Teachers Inspiring Change, Building the Country’s Future,” Gabay Guro, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), PLDT Inc., and mWell, will host the annual Grand Gathering on Sunday, 29 September 2024 at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City.
The event will showcase performances by top Filipino artists, including Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Sharon Cuneta, Martin Nievera, and Pops Fernandez. In addition to the star-studded entertainment, teachers in attendance will have the chance to win premium prizes, including a brand-new car and over one million pesos in cash prizes, thanks to the support of sponsors such as Chery Tiggo, Huawei Philippines, and 555 Sardines. Teachers can register for the event and join the raffle by visiting the Gabay Guro official Facebook page, with additional invitations being handled by local DepEd divisions.
Following the Grand Gathering, Gabay Guro will hold its first-ever Gabay Guro Wellness Fest on Sunday, 06 October 2024 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. The event, hosted in partnership with mWell, will focus on the holistic health and wellness of teachers, offering activities such as fitness sessions, wellness booths, and telemedicine services. Wellness experts, athletes, and celebrities will also be in attendance, with a special Zumba session led by the TML Crew. Entrance to the Wellness Fest is FREE for teachers, but pre-registration is required. For those unable to attend the face-to-face events, both the Grand Gathering and Wellness Fest will be live-streamed via Gabay Guro’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
