Global technology leader LG Electronics celebrated a significant partnership with the National Museum of the Philippines by illuminating the institution’s artistic legacy with cutting-edge OLED AI TVs. This collaboration commemorated the 140th anniversary of Juan Luna’s iconic masterpiece, the “Spoliarium,” a national treasure housed in the National Museum of Fine Arts.

“At LG, supporting the arts and culture is an integral part of what we do. We are honored to collaborate with the National Museum of Fine Arts for the 140th anniversary of the masterpiece ‘Spoliarium’ by Juan Luna. Through our donation this National Heritage Month, we hope that more people will be able to enjoy the enhanced interactive experience and offer visitors a deeper understanding and appreciation of Luna’s significant work and its historical context,” according to Nakhyun Seong, LG Philippines Managing Director, as he expressed the company’s pride in supporting cultural heritage initiatives and promoting the arts. The partnership aims to enrich the museum experience for visitors and make art more accessible to the modern generation.

National Museum Director-General, Jeremy Barns, acknowledged the crucial role technology plays in modernizing cultural institutions and engaging with today’s audiences. “It’s a challenge for the National Museum today to make museums accessible to the modern generation. The addition of LG OLED AI TVs will greatly enhance our ability to engage visitors and provide them with enriching experiences,” he remarked.

The event also featured testimonials from LG enthusiasts and prominent personalities who shared their positive experiences with LG OLED AI TVs. TV host and cinephile, Gretchen Ho, acclaimed the TVs’ ability to bring cinematic visuals to life. Drew Arellano, a family-oriented TV personality, praised how the technology had transformed his family’s entertainment. Avid gamer Biancake (Bianca Yao) lauded the LG OLED AI C4 for its immersive gaming capabilities, and sportscaster Mikee Reyes highlighted the LG QNED AI TV’s exceptional features for sports viewing.

“The Alpha11 AI Processor offers four times the performance of its predecessor, allowing LG OLED AI TVs to recognize users and personalize experiences according to their preferences. The event also showcased LG’s QNED TVs, known for their vibrant colors and exceptional brightness, as well as LG Soundbars essential for elevating the surround sound experience,” said LG’s Angelica Dumlao, Product Manager for TV, as she highlighted the 2024 LG OLED AI TV lineup’s features, showcasing how AI technology elevates the viewing experience, particularly with its exceptional picture quality and intelligent capabilities.

LG Philippines Head of Corporate Marketing, Mayan Salapantan, closed the event by reaffirming LG’s commitment to merging advanced technology with timeless art, enhancing cultural experiences, and promoting education and creativity, aligning with the brand’s promise of “Life’s Good.”
