During this ongoing pandemic, we saw the rise of many NFT (Non-Fungible Token) gaming projects, while many also found themselves lost without a platform and are struggling to bring in the users needed to sustain themselves.
Last week, I had the chance of sitting down with the co-founders of MetaverseGo, a decentralized blockchain platform that provides gamers — both newbie and seasoned players — easy access to play-and-earn games, guild participation, NFT collection, and access to other decentralized applications. The platform promises fast and easy access requiring only the user’s mobile number and email address.
When many Filipinos think that joining a play-to-earn or play-and-earn platform is as easy as signing up and playing, there are a lot of technicalities involved between the different processes until one can actually withdraw his/her earnings. One needs to understand how the blockchain works, what is cryptocurrency, and why do you need to have a cryptocurrency wallet while trying to concentrate on winning your chosen game of play.
“Right now, what we are creating is that gap from the advancement in technology to where human adoption is — we are creating that bridge to simplify to something they are currently familiar with and having a layer where we take care of the unfamiliar,” according to Ash Mandhyan, Co-founder and CEO of MetaverseGo.
Under Mandhyan’s sleeve is a solid 14-year background in digital retail that includes his stint as an executive of ByteDance, a Beijing-based company that has been leading the charge in the blockchain industry.
“Some still do not know what blockchains are. What we are doing is an all-in-one app where you can talk to your manager or sub-manager if you’re a scholar,” said Jake San Diego, Co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer of MetaverseGo as he explained how their platform will be an all-in-one solution for guilds, managers, and players.
There are many different ways to interact with the platform, from the user’s perspective. The user can track their holdings, send and receive digital assets, invest in NFT collections and play various NFT games. Web3 entrepreneurs can also use the platform as a way of reaching out to their stakeholders. Users can search for guilds and play games without the need for a hefty investment. In fact, all you need is a sim to get you started.
With mobile internet users in the Philippines reaching over 80 million this year and a third of this dabbling into play-to-earn platforms, the three-month startup is expected to help propel the gaming community into the future.
MetaverseGo is now open for early access registration via https://metaversego.gg. Get a chance to win and own limited edition NFTs when you sign up.
