Our friends at myFirst sent us their latest product: the myFirst Sketch Book all the way from Singapore. With the help of my daughter, Bea, we gave it a spin this weekend.

The myFirst Sketch Book is a 10-inch electronic drawing pad with instant digitization perfect for homeschooling kids. If you are a parent (like me) with a child who just started to learn (or go to school, like my daughter), this gadget is the best alternative to pen and paper.

This particular device sports a built-in memory so that you don’t have to take photos of your child’s masterpieces. With the use of the Sketch Book app, parents will be able to transfer their children’s work to a smartphone. Using the same app, your children can also adjust font thickness, pens, tip size, and even color for a more artistic freedom when creating.

After this pandemic, the myFirst Sketch Book will be your child’s best travel buddy, as its built-in battery can last for up to two (02) weeks on a single charge.

Inside the Box

The package that was sent to me contains the following out of the box:

  • Sketch Book
  • Smart Stylus
  • Pen Tips Set
  • Leather Case
  • Charging Cable
  • Quick Start Guide

First Impressions

I asked my daughter to play with the myFirst Sketch Book right after unboxing and she was using it like a pro in no time. The size, design, and material of the stylus (digital pen) fits perfectly with Bea’s small hand. Weighing less than 500g, this electronic drawing pad is a lot lighter than the tablet (iPad or Android) used by our kids.

Constructed with hard plastic, I don’t think that the device will break easily on accidental falls and frequent bumping by our kids.
