Based on Proclamation No. 48 dated 06 Oct 2010, the President has declared Monday, 25 Oct 2010 to be a Special Non-working Holiday all throughout the Philippines for its citizens be given the fullest opportunity to exercise their right to vote in the Barangay & Sangguniang Barangay Elections.

Dapat lang na holiday. pero astig din ang comelec kasi inunahan nila ang presidente sa dapat nia gawin, sabi ng comelec official “dapat i-declare ang oct.25 na holiday”. always at pleasure of the president yung mga ganung bagay dapat.
